Beachbody Resolutions 2014

In 2013, I decidd to take my love and belief in Beachbody programs, products and community support to the next level. I was already sharing with people, but with some encouragement from my coach and my boyfriend, I decided that it was time to treat it like the business opportunity that it was. It wasn't an easy decision, and has come with it's fair share of tribulations - several relationships (that at the time I thought were friendships) were severed, people were unsupportive and critical of my motives and credentials, they said unkind things at times, but I didn't let that stop me. The benefits FAR outweighed those setbacks; this year I have reconnected with old friends, helped 100+ people connect with programs and products and support them as they journey to a healthier version of themselves (one very important one being my sister), and I've inspired others to join me. I've been a part of great transformations, both physically, mentally and in lifestyle changes. I've even started growing a small network of coaches who are working together to reach an even greater number of people in the new year. I can personally say that I have gotten into the best shape of my life, I am happier, healthier and am leading a WAY more balanced lifestyle. Financially I've seen more success than I could've hoped for. Beachbody is an amazing company that compensates their coaches for spreading the word and supporting their customers; not only am I rewarded with a discount on my products (afterall I'm a loyal customer) but I earn bonuses based on the number of people who I am able to help and support. As an educator, I am not in a profession where my compensation reflects the quality of work that I do. With Beachbody this year, I was able to match 30% of my annual teaching salary! It is both amazing and humbling to feel appreciated and rewarded for doing something that I love so much and would do whether I was paid for it or not. Starting in the New Year I've set some major goals, financially, physically, and based around the lifestyle I hope to lead. I hope to help twice as many people this year, reaching over 100 individuals with the help of Beachbody products and programs. I hope to mentor more coaches who can help spread the hope to an even wider base of people. And although it's not my main motivation, doing those things will undoubtedly help me to double my Beachbody income - that would mean that this year I would be earning over half my teaching salary in my part-time job. Finally, and probably most tangible of my goals, is to earn my way onto this year's success club trip to Cancun Mexico (all-expenses paid). The big Ah-Ha moment for me this year came while being Coby Linder's guest at the Success Club Disney World trip so this trip would mean a lot (especially if I'm able to get Champ's way paid too). I am eternally grateful for the chance that Coby took on me and for all the time energy and patience he showed with me throughout this year and even before I was a coach on his team. I feel fortunate and proud to be a member of his team and Beachbody as an organization. If you're looking to reach a goal this year- physical, financial, or lifestyle - I emplore you to reach out and let me know how I can help you. Now is the time to do it. New Year, New You. Let me help you make this the best year of your life.

New Year, New Me, and New You too!

Oh my gosh... as I just logged on, because of course one of my resolutions is to blog more often, I realized that the title of the blog: "Ramblings of a Twenty-Something" will be outdated in about 361 more days.. so I better stuff this thing with content before I have to move into the realm of Thirty-Somethings

My other resolutions this year include:
1. Quality over Quantity, Enjoying the Finer Things
This is going to be an overarching theme: from being selective with who I spend time with to shifting my consumerism to better quality goods. It might mean splurging for an expensive but memorable dinner once a month, rather than eating out every weekend. This means less shopping at Forever 21 and more stays at boutique hotels. Don't get me wrong, #comeuponomics is still in full effect, but I'm finally getting to the point where I'd rather spend $100 on a dress that I'll look and feel good in, that will hold up for years rather than 5 dresses that will probably fall apart or go out of style within a couple months. #iamNOTinfactFOREVER21

2. Being present in the moment
In tasks, interactions, and events.. I am guilty of "multitasking" my way to being so distracted that I don't fully enjoy many moments that I'm in. I'm so busy thinking about other things I could, should or wish I was doing that I don't embrace those experiences that I'm having - both pleasant and unpleasant. An article posted yesterday on Huffington Post titled "So Long FOMO - Why 2014 Will Be the Year of JOMO (Joy of Missing Out)" [great read] #mindfulliving

3. Making more phone calls
If you know me, you know that I've had a long-standing phobia of phones. It's irrational really, but I'll do anything short of going to the place where the person is to avoid picking up the phone. Both for personal and business reasons, I know that things are often more effective if one simply picks up the phone - so I'm going to be making an effort. Yesterday I called both the dentist and tire store (and then Champ to brag about how much I'd used the phone). Baby steps. #ringring

4. Striving to be the best version of MYSELF
Petty comparison is so 2013. While it's good to use motivation of others, I'm committed to focusing more this year on improving myself and making less notice of how it "stacks up". No more fat shaming, put downs, shit talk or negativity will be condoned in my camp - so take it elsewhere. This year I will celebrate non-scale victories. This year I will set goals, reach goals and aim even higher. This is my year, but that doesn't mean it can't be yours too. #nonscalevictories

5. Growing my Beachbody Business
Blog post with reflections on 2013 and goals for 2014 coming later this week...
